A Message from  Grandmaster Pak

Focus on: Attitude

How often have you done well on a test and received an excellent grade or mark of excellence? If you have practiced for tests many times and studied very hard, you probably received the mark of excellence many times. To help achieve your goal with a better attitude, there are some things that can help you maintain a good attitude when frustration makes its way to your venue.

Be Confident
Confidence is the key to maintaining a good attitude about a situation you may be facing. When sparring or in a tournament especially, confidence in your actions shine through. If you show your opponent you are confident and are able to remain in control of your situation, it could mean the difference of a win or loss of the competition.
Be Cooperative
If you are tackling a problem with a group of people, the best way to get the job done is to be cooperative. A job does not get done, at least not very well, if people are quarreling about how to get the job done. Organize yourselves and be nice and helpful with each other and the task will be completed before anyone even realizes it!
Be Consistent
Always try to be consistent with your mannerisms, habits, and attitudes. It will show people yourtruecharacter by being consistent with the daily good values of life you live by! Such as being consistent with practicing your martial arts daily and keeping it in your life as a daily routine, it will keep you healthy and focused. You will feel better more often too.
Be Inspirational
Do and other will follow. By doing good things with a good attitude, other will be inspired by your good actions and will want to be and do things like you. Be helpful and courteous to your fellow classmates and colleagues. It is a sign of respect and shows good character.
Be Flexible
This doesn't just mean to stretch out your body everyday. Your mind must also be flexible. the world we live in is not black and white. There are many shades of grey and colors. Therefore, if someone has different views, there may be a valid reason for this viewpoint. Listen and be understanding. Give the person the benefit of at least hearing his or her story, then make your analysis and be fair.We take on new tasks everyday. Some tasks we may know how to do and other tasks we may not know how to do. We must learn how to accomplish these tasks with a good attitude or we might not accomplish them at all. If you do not like the task you must tackle, then try to change the task to better suit your abilities. If that is not possible, then you might try to change your attitude. You might find an easier way of doing the task or with some patience and skill you will get it done. It might help to have a good attitude doing the task you have to do and you might end up actually enjoying it!
